A team blog, really.

10/15/91 - Seventh Heaven

For a record seventh consecutive year, and eighth of 11 years in this league, the Warriors are in the World Series.  They are still awaiting their opponent.  They're hoping to put a fourth chamionship trophy on their mantle.

10/27/90 - To The Victor Go The Spoils

The Warriors have won their third World Series, in 6 games.  Martin Sutton threw a gem in the clincher.  The Warriors used a controversial strategy, pitching William Orlando in the pivotal Game 5 with the series tied, wishing to save ace Donald Santiago for Game 7, and Orlando came through.  Santiago, as it turns out, was not needed.  Waldeck is not a big town, so the parade route isn't that long.  But, we always get good crowds.

10/14/90 - The Never-Ending War

The Warriors are once again in the World Series.  That's six in a row, and seven overall, in the 10 seasons of Alpha Phi Beta.  The Warriors have made the playoffs every year, and won a round in all but one.

8/20/90 - No No, I'll Share

Donald Santiago threw 6 innings of no hit ball vs the Roughnecks, and Sam Roberson finished the job, doing the same over the last 3 innings.  This is the first no hitter in Warriors' history, and third in the franchise overall.

10/18/89 - Quack Quack Quack Quack

The Warriors are once again in the World Series, and once again have drawn the Duck Feet.  That's the fifth in a row for the first thing, and the fourth in a row for the second.

4/5/89 - Hot Rod

Roderick Chacon got his 1000th career RBI in the third game of the season.  He has been white-hot to start the year, carrying over from last year's playoff run.

10/24/88 - Duck Taped

The Warriors took the brooms to the Duck Feet, disposing of them in 4 straight.  Reliever Michael Tomlinson came up absolutely huge.  Smokey Stewart capped off an amazing career with the series-winning hit in Game 4.  The MVP, though, has to be Roderick Chacon.

10/20/88 - Good As Gold

Paul Hicks, in the Warriors' eighth year, is the team's first Gold Glover.  That's pretty sad, that we haven't had one before.  Hicks will be starting Game 4 in the World Series.

10/15/88 - Duck Hunt

For the fourth year in a row, the Warriors have made the World Series, and for the third in a row, they will be facing the Duck Feet.  Let`s hope they can actually win it this time.  The webbed ones have had our number, but not this time...we plan to win.

Of note:  Rookie Martin Sutton made a statement in the LCS pitching the team to big wins in Games 1 and 5.  He will be pitching Game 2 of the World Series, and has a bright future in Waldeck.

Also of note:  Donald Santiago finally won that long-deserved Cy Young.  He should have 3 or 4 by now.  If he gets robbed of the Hall on account of this I`ll launch a formal protest.

10/25/85 - Victory Is Mine!

The Warriors capped off a stellar season with a World Series victory in five games.  They haven't missed the playoffs yet, but this was their first championship.  And there were certainly a lot of victories this year, 110 to be exact, plus the 12 in the playoffs.  In so many ways, their best year.  We'll see if they can improve upon it in 1986.
